Multiprofessional co-operation
In the organisation of guidance, higher education institutions have been found to have different models—from centralised guidance functions to decentralised functions—where the role of differentiated guidance expertise and cooperation with teaching staff varies. Supporting student well-being has only recently received special attention, and the field of services and activities is still seeking its form. Based on a survey conducted in the KOHO network, well-being and guidance work is characterised by a wide range of job titles (45 different titles). Four areas can be identified in the tasks of differentiated guidance and well-being experts: individual and group support for students, development tasks and, in particular, consultative support for teaching staff. Differentiated experts also work together with actors outside higher education institutions, such as the FSHS, to promote the well-being of students. Based on the interviews conducted in KOHO, student well-being work seems to need systematic development of the tasks and cooperation models of student well-being actors that starts from the services provided by higher education institutions. The information bank contains descriptions of the differentiated tasks of experts in student well-being work as well as models for multiprofessional cooperation.
